‘Booye Seeb’ 5^th Blog Writing Contest

Ma’aref Radio is one of the eleven stations in IRIB mainly concerned with spreading Islamic teachings. Having successfully held four national contests on blog writing, the station is honored to hold the fifth round of Booye Seeb Contest in November and December 2011. 

“Hussein ibn Ali is the guiding light and rescue boat for humanity. He is the one who teaches freedom of spirit. He is the one who integrates all followers of all religions in his inspiring cannon. The great incident of 61 AH has remained alive. The Ashura is the manifestation of greatness. It is an image of the past and future and a message which will never disappear “.

The very high capacity and influence of culture of Ashura is clear to everyone. Therefore, Ma’aref Radio as a station which has the duty of popularizing Islamic teachings and religious values intends to take advantage of current online infrastructures as well as enthusiasm of the youth and thus lead a cultural movement which expands knowledge of Imam al-Hussein and the Day of Ashura in the society.

Spreading the culture and message of Ashura through internet communications is a major media task for Ma’aref Radio. Those who take part in this movement will promote their knowledge and spread the name of Imam al-Hussein through the global network.  

Four rounds of Booye Seeb Blog Writing Contest have been already held in past years and in the month of Muharram. The contest was successful in admitting about 8500 young blog writers and therefore could create a virtual assembly hall for the mourning ceremonies for Imam al-Hussein.

The fifth national blog writing contest of Booye Seeb will start by adding Arabic, English, and Urdu contents to various parts of the contest. The added parts intend to preach Islamic teachings and the school of the Infallible Shi'a Imams in foreign languages.

Participants may send their internet contents (weblog, website, forum, groups, etc) which are in Arabic, English, or Urdu to the contest bureau.

The nationality of participants and the number of pages sent may vary unlimitedly.
